Our Wedding

We have known each other for over 20 years, but our interest really began in March of 2020. While the world was shut down we were texting and our friendship was growing. We quickly realized there was something more there and we had our first date on Scott's porch in May. We've been dating ever since. In fact, it's the same place we were engaged five years later! How did we choose Cedar Skies on Lake LBJ as our wedding venue? We spent last Spring Break with some close friends at Log Country Cove (the cabins near Cedar Skies) and were charmed by these cabins on the Lake. There happened to be a wedding going on there. We were instantly intrigued! We toured the place after we got engaged and decided it was perfect. We'd love it if you can join us in this magical place for our destination wedding on Lake LBJ. Either stay with us at a cabin in Log Country Cove or at one of the nearby Inns. More details can be found in the Travel section.

This is the recommended lodging option if you can swing it. These cabins are on the same property as the wedding venue so you can walk to the wedding and all the events we have planned. Scott and I and the kids will be staying here at Log Country Cove from Thursday through Monday the weekend of the wedding. We are in Meagan Breann and Vaughn cabins. We will be hosting dinner the night before the wedding and brunch the morning after the wedding at Vaughn cabin. The majority of these cabins are at the same location as the wedding venue, but I recommend you check the map while booking. You can also filter on Area='Log Country Cove' when using the search to get a list of properties within walking distance of the venue. Accommodations range from 2 person efficiency cabins to 6 bedroom luxury homes. Prices vary. I have been told that we don't get any discounts on these cabins because they are individually owned.

Log Country Cove

This Inn is super cute and a six minute drive from our wedding venue. We have arrangements for a 10% discount for Friday and Saturday night stays. If you stay for longer, he will give you a 15% discount. There is no group code. Call for discount and give them my name (Lisa Jarboe).

The Antlers Inn

Little Lodge on the Lake is a more rustic, economical option in the area with cabins starting at $125 per night. While the cabins are not luxury, they do have a full private restroom and kitchenettes in every unit. They are on the lake and only a six minute drive from the Wedding Venue.

Friday 4/17 from 6pm to 8pm We will be serving Coopers Barbeque from 6pm-8pm. Dress is casual and 'come as you are'. Directions to the cabin: when you arrive at Log Country cove, you'll head all the way back to where the main office is. Vaughn cabin is to the left of the main office, right on the water. **Please send me a message if anyone in your group has dietary restrictions or preferences.

There are 9 miles of hiking trails just an 11 minute drive from Log Country Cove. Be sure and check it out if you have time.
